Rare Vintage Ercol 1950s Model 263 Plank Dining Table
Ercol’s model 263 plank table with its solid elm top and solid beech, splayed legs is a rare find. It was made specifically made between 1953-1956, predating the more commonly seen 382 plank table. It’s been fully restored and looks immaculate with the most beautiful wood grain on the table top. Ercol furniture’s appeal endures and it’s as popular today as it ever was. And this is a testament to its clean, classic design and its superb construction. Invest in vintage for the future.
This is an original, used Ercol table that is ‘sold as seen’. The table is in excellent, restored condition. It has undergone a full restoration with the table top and legs being sanded, oiled and finally polished to give a hard-wearing, durable finish. The table is sturdy and well-made with no signs of repair. There are some very minor marks on the top surface that had penetrated the wood but these aren’t noticeable – please see our photos. The blue Ercol sticker is affixed to the base of the table and this sticker, along with the table’s slightly smaller dimensions, date its production to 1953-1956. It’s a rare model 263 table, predating the more widely seen 382 plank table.
