Pair of Original Vintage Ercol Goldsmith Carver / Elbow Chairs
Ercol’s vintage Goldsmith chairs are among some of their most popular. This pair of elbow chairs are tall and elegant with the signature, curved ‘moustache’ top. And we love the upturn of the arms on the carver in particular. They come in their original finish, which is a little worn here and there, and date from the 1980s. Constructed with beech legs and English elm seats, they are solid wood so robust and well-made. If you wished to fully restore them further down the line, you have that option. Originally intended to sit around kitchen table or in a dining room, we see our customers use Ercol chairs in any room of the house from bathroom to hall to bedroom as a feature piece and occasional seat.

Description
This original, vintage pair of chairs is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, both chairs are in good, used condition. We have given the chairs a thorough clean and polish with a natural beeswax but otherwise we have left their original finish alone, such is its great order. There are minor, superficial knocks and marks here and there, as you might expect with furniture of this age and purpose, including some scuffs on one of the seats which we’ve clearly shown in our photos. They are superbly crafted, stable and sturdy with no repairs. The gold label is affixed underneath the seats and they are stamped underneath. Do browse our photos for a good sense of the chairs but please don’t hesitate to ask any questions. You’d be very welcome to view the chairs too.

Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with specialist drivers who cover most of the country (please enquire for Scotland or remote addresses). Our delivery partners are reliable and insured, and we have worked with them for a number of years. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later, depending on when they are next in your area. Please be aware the delivery service we can offer does require some flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but they will keep you updated directly regarding their anticipated timings.
