Description
This is pair of original, vintage bookcases are ‘sold as seen’. Overall, they are in good – very good, used condition. They have been checked and cleaned inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied to the exterior wood surfaces to revive shine but otherwise the finish is original. The bookcases are divided into an upper and lower section, each with two sliding glass doors so four doors in total. All doors are original and in very good order, sliding with ease in the runners. Each section has a height-adjustable shelf and all interiors are clean and in good order with just minor signs of use. There are also light signs of wear and tear to the exterior wood, just the odd superficial mark and scuff in line with what we might expect to see on a vintage item. One of the pair has a small blemish on its top as shown in our photos. Both are well made with no signs of repair or areas of concern. The Herbert Gibbs label is in place on one bookcase along with the original retailer label which dates it to 1971. Please do browse through our photos for an accurate sense of their order. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated. You are also welcome to collect from us either in Haverhill, Suffolk or near Diss, Suffolk and we’re happy to hold pieces after purchase while you consider your options and make collection arrangements.
