This space-saving table is perfect for small rooms. Fully extended, you have a generous, rectangular, teak dining table with classic, midcentury good looks for up to six diners and when not in use, the two leaves fold down to very compact proportions to tuck away neatly against the wall. Made by British furniture maker, Jentique, its construction is quality, the gate legs swinging out with ease to extend one side or both. And the table is in fantastic order. It’s clearly been taken great care of. These folding, gate leg tables are also good supplementary pieces for those times when lots of people are around – parties, Christmas, Easter. It can be easily set up for the occasion but then stowed away until the next big gathering.

Description

This vintage table is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the table, applying a natural beeswax polish to the wood but otherwise the finish is original. The two drop leaves are extended by swinging out the gate legs underneath which slot into grooves underneath to prevent further movement. All hinges and mechanisms are in very good working order. The table top is in remarkable condition. A professional repair has been done at some point in the central section which we have shown but it’s very discreet and well done. There are a couple of very minor nips to the veneer but again, these are barely noticeable. Otherwise, there are just very light scuffs and marks here and there to the edges, base and legs, as you would expect with a vintage piece of this age – do browse our photos for an accurate representation of tone and condition. It is solid and sturdy with no wobbles or signs of repair.
