Midcentury 1970s Double Spotlight Floor Lamp by Stralux – Fully Restored

Although imported from Denmark, Stralux was a German lighting manufacturer and this double light floor lamp dates from the early seventies. It’s such a sweetie, newly restored, tested and ready to plug in. We love the shortened spotlights in a glossy brown finish, a welcome change from the usual elongated Scandi lamp heads. The stem is generous at 148cm in height and the spotlights can be moved up and down their chrome mast so you can get your lighting perfectly positioned.

Description

This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamps have been rewired with new black, fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, floor switch and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening the metal arms and the arms can be rotated. As you can see from our photos, there are very minor tarnishes, dents and scratches, including on the weighted base. However, this wear and tear is what you might reasonably expect with a vintage piece of this nature and age, and we don’t feel it detracts from the appeal of the light overall. It dates from the 1970s and Stralux was a German light manufacturer. You can see the Stralux maker’s sticker inside one of the lampshades.
