Mid-century Danish Teak Neat Chest of Drawers

A really useful, compact chest of drawers, sitting on long, tapered legs, with four generous drawers for storage. A versatile piece, this would be as at home in the bedroom as it would the lounge or dining room, used as a small dresser. There are light signs of use from its previous lives, to be expected, but overall it’s a cracking vintage piece in solid order at your service. Practical, clean-lined and good looking, it hails from Denmark and is designed in line with the midcentury ‘form and function’ aesthetic.

Description

This original, vintage chest of drawers is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. It has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied to the exterior wood. All four drawers slide with ease, are well made with dovetail joints, and have clean, tidy interiors. The external wood carries some light scuffs, scratches and marks here and there but overall these are minor and in line with its age. In the overall context of the piece, they are not particularly noticeable but please do browse our photos to get a good sense of its condition. It’s well made, solid and stable. Sadly we’ve been unable to attribute this piece but it was imported directly from Denmark and we believe it dates from the early 1970s.
