Description
This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the sofa, applying a natural beeswax polish to the solid wood legs and a natural, nourishing balm to the leather upholstery, both the fixed and the cushions. There are six separate cushions, all in good – very good order with plump inners and working zips. These cushions simply sit on the frame. The cushion leather is a little wrinkled here and there on top through use, and there is some sunlight fading on the top of one of the back cushions, as shown, but otherwise the wear is minimal. The fixed leather upholstery on the frame is in good order too, holding the form of the frame tightly. There are some scuffs and blemishes to the leather here and there which is shown across our photos including a small knock on the bottom back corner. Overall, these are minor signs of wear to the leather, in line with what we might expect on a piece of this age. The finishing cloth underneath the cushions is lightly marked but nothing unsavoury. The sofa is really well-made, solid and stable with no repairs or concerns. There is no maker’s mark but it was imported from directly from Denmark and dates from the late 1960s / early 1970s. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated. You are also welcome to collect from us either in Haverhill, Suffolk or near Diss, Suffolk and we’re happy to hold pieces after purchase while you consider your options and make collection arrangements.
