Midcentury 1970s Danish Lounge Chair by Erik Worts for FDB Mobler

A smart, Danish lounge chair designed by Erik Worts for FDB Mobler that’s in super order, and with a neutral colour and unfussy design that will mix and match with any interior style scheme. The green / brown wool hugs lines of the chair wonderfully and it look stylish from all sides. We love the on-show, light oak base trim and the longer legs. The proportions are neat and compact so a great additional piece for a lounge with limited space, equally this would make a solid occasional chair in a bedroom, study or open plan room. And it’s  comfortable too, suiting someone who prefers a firmer, supportive chair.

Description

This is an original, used chair that is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in good, vintage condition. We have thoroughly vacuumed the upholstery and we have cleaned the on-show wood and applied a natural beeswax polish. The original wool upholstery is in good shape with no threadbare areas and minimal sun-fading – do browse our photos to get a good sense of its order. The two cushions have working zips and firm, plump inners. They are a little curved from use, shaped by being sat in. The frame is structurally sound and sturdy. There is a small tear to the finishing cloth underneath the chair but obviously this isn’t visible. Although there are some light marks to the wooden legs and trim from everyday use, these do not detract from the look of the piece. Sadly there is no maker’s mark but we imported directly from Denmark and it was attributed at source.
