A really handsome pair of vintage armchairs, very skillfully reupholstered in recent years in a neutral, pale silky fabric with a diamond repeat motif. Their design is rather more traditional than our usual clean-cut midcentury sofas and chairs but they make a welcome change and means they would slot easily into all kinds of interiors whatever the style, the era and the colour palette. We believe they’re British-made by reputable manufacturer, Parker Knoll. Often associated with wooden framed, rather ‘no frills’ lounge chairs, these are a cut above and more in line with their Malton range counterparts, ground-breaking back in the day, taking direct influence from their Scandinavian design contemporaries. This pair have some wonderful midcentury features… the kick of the rear legs, the roll of the arms, the considered design from every angle.
