Somewhere between a tallboy and a gentleman’s compactum wardrobe is this very fine, antique piece. Art Deco in design and dating from 1930s, its outer surfaces are finished in the most exquisite golden burr walnut, creating the striking patination across the exterior surfaces. It gives you a great deal of storage with a double door upper cupboard and three generous, graduated drawers below. Tall and rather grand but not too deep at just over 45cm in depth, it won’t protrude into the room. It’s as handsome as they come. We love the intricate detail of the brass handles and the jet black, ebonised base. Originally intended for a bedroom or dressing room, this wouldn’t look out of place in a hall, living room or family space.
