Here is a really exceptional and rarely seen piece of British midcentury furniture from renowned maker, Uniflex. Made in the late 1950s, this is a large, stately sideboard featuring all the dining / living room storage you could possible want with drawers, a bi-fold cupboard, a drinks cabinet and a removable cutlery tray. For all that it’s practical, it’s the incredibly handsome good looks that elevate this functional piece. The two outer cabinet doors are rosewood and the rest teak, creating balance, pattern texture and distinction. And even though this is a large piece, the base and tapered legs give it elegance and space. Even the back of this sideboard is thoughtfully finished which means it could be used in open-plan space to segregate zones. A very classy item.
