Salvaged from a decommissioned factory (quite possibly Rolls-Royce – they supplied their factory lighting back in the day), this original, 1960s, British spotlight by Holophane has been reworked to be a statement floor lamp for a domestic setting. It’s big, heavy and industrial but with its new light fitting and bulb, it gives a warm, diffused glow through its prismatic glass lens. The bar originally used to mount it from a girder on the ceiling now becomes a prop / stand to elevate it and by unscrewing the metal arms at either side, the lamp can be angled up and down. An unusual, eclectic piece in a matt grey finish that nods to the past but has been repurposed for the future.
