Attributed to Vemb Polstermobelfabrik, this sofa is the archetypal, classic Scandinavian sofa – clean-cut, unfussy and handsome with a sharp silhouette from all sides. For all its boxy, rather masculine good looks, it’s really very comfortable and comes with generous dimensions from seat width to seat depth. It’s a couch you can stretch out on and it comes in fantastic condition with just light signs of wear and tear. It most likely dates from the early 1980s but the design is very much midcentury-inspired, unmistakably influenced by Borge Mogensen. It will mix and match with furniture from different periods too so a great choice for a mixed, modern interior. A very fine, vintage sofa imported from Denmark.
