An unusual midcentury table, this. Taller than a conventional coffee table, the height is more akin to Scandinavian sofa tables, pieces that were designed to sit in front of the couch. But the width doesn’t fit the sofa table brief – it’s coffee table size. Regardless, it’s a really handsome, useful piece used to the side for a lamp perhaps… or as a tall coffee table or small sofa table! We love the curved edges and the contoured lips at either end, the lighter bands of wood on the sides and the mirrored grain on the table top. It’s lightly marked but depending of its use, this may well not show. It’s very faint. Those long legs unscrew so this is an item we can pack and send via UK courier too. We don’t know its origins story but it would not surprise us if it hails from Scandinavia. The build quality and design strongly suggests this.
