Midcentury 1970s G Plan Fresco Tall Shelf Unit with Drawers

Designed by VB Wilkins for G Plan, as part of his late 1960s / early 1970s Fresco range, this freestanding, multi-functional unit serves as storage and display space in one handsome piece. Tall but shallow in depth and slender in width, it would work well in a small room where going up is better than going wide. This particular set up features an upper glazed bookcase with an integrated light to glow up your treasures on display and a lower three drawer chest with the signature Fresco handles.  It’s a two-part piece with the upper section sitting on the deeper base. These versatile units offer more flexibility than built-in shelves and are great in alcoves or those recesses next to a chimney breast.
