We don’t acquire many small vanity stands – more often, midcentury dressing tables are wide, large pieces – so we were charmed instantly by this one. Produced by British maker, Meredew, and dating from the 1960s, it’s a super mix of midcentury and traditional in design. Its base is a compact, small, three drawer dresser sitting on neat legs. On top sits a generous mirror, not framed as such but with a feature wood border. The mirror can be angled back and forth to get the angle and illumination just right. If you wished to remove the mirror this is easily unscrewed leaving you with a smart chest of drawers. The exterior wood looks exceptional having been carefully restored with the richly striped patina brought back to its former glory. Free local delivery / Fast UK delivery / Collection welcome!
