Vintage Stag Light Oak Veneer Tall Chest of Drawers
Under the tutelage of John and Sylvia Reid, British manufacturer, Stag, made popular, affordable furniture during the fifties and sixties, quickly cementing a reputation for good quality and modern design. This chest of drawers is one of their harder-to-find creations and features the less common square/circle handles. With six drawers and a slim stature, this tall boy is an ever-practical piece offering lots of storage space.
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. The chest of drawers itself is in good, used condition. It is solidly made and sturdy with no wobbles. All drawers slide with ease. The finish of the exterior oak veneer is a little marked and scuffed. We have cleaned and polished the surfaces but as you can see from our photos there are some knocks and also some areas of patchiness, that have comes from years of use. The bottom left hand drawer handle has also been repaired at some point but the repair is good and it’s not at all noticeable except on close inspection. That said, this is a nicely made item of vintage furniture with much life left in it. The Stag maker’s label is affixed inside the top drawer. Please refer to our photos for an accurate sense of condition.
