Vintage Scratch-made Painted Elm Child’s Chair
It’s hard not to be charmed by an old, vintage piece like this. A scratch-built child’s chair in elm with the most wonderful distressed, white painted surface. Although rustic, it has a sculptural quality to it and it’s a beautiful object for use as a stand in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or lounge. Add foliage, prop up pictures, or perhaps even add an old toy to create your own vintage story. A lovely little piece of history, dating from around the 1940s.
Description
This vintage chair is ‘sold as seen’. We would categorise it as in fair condition. It has been cleaned. For all its wonkiness, it’s stable and solid. The original white paint work is very worn, as you can see from our photos. There is a split in the seat. Please refer to our photos for an accurate sense of the condition of this piece.
