Vintage Midcentury Teak Vinyl Record Cabinet

This stylish, midcentury record cabinet, made of teak and sitting on beech legs, is the perfect home for precious vinyl. Pull down the door to reveal the sectioned interior, ready for your favourites. We love the curved sides which add a note of distinction to this otherwise cleanly designed piece. It’s British in origin, really well-made and super useful for storing all manner of things, even if vinyl isn’t your thing. A really handsome, vintage piece with considerable retro charm.

Description

This is an original, vintage cabinet that is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, it is in excellent, used condition. We have cleaned the item and applied a natural beeswax polish to the exterior wood but otherwise left the original finish well alone. The drop-down door moves with ease with the sliding hinge in excellent order along with the magnetic closures.  The interior wood is clean, tidy and in excellent order.  There are some very minor scratches and scuffs on the exterior wood but nothing to call out and this is in line with its age and use.  There is a small chip of veneer missing on the inside of the door, which has been highlighted in one of our pictures. It’s a well-made, practical piece of storage furniture that’s solidly made with no signs of repair. Sadly the maker’s label is no longer affixed, but it’s British-made and in our experience we would date its production to the 1960s. Our photos aim to give an accurate sense of the condition.
