Vintage G Plan ‘Form 5’ Teak Slide Door Cabinet
More well-made, vintage storage for the modern home from G Plan. This neat, teak cabinet, from their 1960’s Form 5 range, was originally a media unit and you can of course still use it for this as the height is perfect for a TV with ample room underneath for remotes, DVDs, games consoles, etc. But it’s also just a really useful storage unit for anything and it’s neutral design means it can go anywhere in the house. The sliding door mechanism is wonderful engineering, with each door slotting behind the other with a gentle push. It means there are no handles so add to its unassuming, discreet appeal.
Description
This vintage cabinet is ‘sold as seen’. We would class it as in very good condition. The two sliding doors move with ease. There is a height adjustable shelf inside with all the supports present. There are minor scuffs and marks to both the interior and exterior wood but this is minimal given the piece’s age. On the top surface there are some scratches and areas of fading at either side. There is also a small lighter patch on one of the front doors. Please refer to our photos for an accurate sense of this. The original G Plan sticker is still affixed.
