Vintage Ercol Windsor Plate Rack / Wall-mounted Shelf
Country kitchen plate racks are not for everyone but this one from Ercol works just as well for other things, not just dinnerware. In fact it offers two slimline, shallow shelves, ideal perhaps for galley kitchens, where wall-mounted storage can’t protrude too much. As you would expect from Ercol, it’s a small but beautifully formed piece of furniture, complete with brackets to screw into place.

Description
This original piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good – excellent, used condition. Our photos show in on a table top but it is of course designed to be wall-mounted and there are two plate brackets attached for this. The two shelves feature grooves for the base of the plate to sit securely in if you did plan to use it as originally intended, as a plate rack. It does work as shallow shelves for other items too. It’s structurally sound and stable with no repairs. There are some very minor surface knocks and marks to be expected with a used, vintage piece. The original Ercol blue sticker can be seen on the back, dating it to some time between the late sixties – late seventies.
