Vintage Danish Brown Leather Two Seater Sofa
This handsome, vintage Danish sofa is a great catch. It’s in fantastic condition and has been beautifully designed with low and lean good looks. This sofa design, inspired by Borge Morgensen, never goes out of style. It’s a timeless classic and this sofa will partner well with other midcentury pieces or indeed, seating from different periods. It’s also a really versatile couch for a family space where leather is a practical choice. Its low profile means it would fit neatly in a bay window or alcove.
This is a used, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. We would describe it as in very good, used condition. The sofa has been thoroughly cleaned and we can detect no smell. The leather is soft and supple, and the six cushion inners are in good order including the zips. There are some creases and minor marks to the leather here and there but they are minimal and to be expected given the sofa’s age. The canvas under the leather cushions is in good condition. There are two small areas on the seat cushion front edges to call out. There is a piped seam on both that has worn – this is shown in our photos and as you can see is a minor flaw, measuring around 1cm, that’s not really noticeable. Please refer to our photos for an accurate overall sense of condition. Although no maker’s label, this chair was imported directly from Denmark and dates from the 1970’s.
