Vintage Danish Komfort Tan Leather Lounge Chair

These vintage Danish lounge chairs from Komfort are about as laidback and easy going as you can get. With considerable lived-in charm, they are slouchy and really comfortable. The tan leather looks fantastic against the dark bentwood cantilever frame and its silouhette is simple yet striking from all sides. What sets these chairs apart from other midcentury bentwoods are the unusual leather straps with buckles that fix the canvas to the frame, and the simplicity of the cushions with just two large buttons on each pad. A lovely piece of clean, cool Scandinavian design.

Description

This is an original, vintage chair that are ‘sold as seen’. It in in good-very good, used condition.  We have cleaned the sectioned leather seat cushion and applied a nourishing leather balm. The bentwood frame has had a natural beeswax polish applied. The leather cushion is in very order with working zips and soft inners. As you can see from our photos, the leather is worn and creased but there are no tears or areas of deterioration to call out – it’s just surface wear and tear from use as you get with vintage leather. The canvas underneath the cushion is in good, clean order too. There is a little pulling at the tautest part of the seat but this isn’t a concern or likely to deteriorate further. All the leather buckles and straps are in very good order. The original Komfort maker’s label can be seen on the underside. We have two of these chairs available. Do get in touch for a discounted price if you are interested in acquiring the pair. Please refer to our photos for good sense of their excellent condition.
