Vintage Danish Brown Leather Lounge Chair with Rosewood Legs
A classic, generous, comfortable lounge armchair that hails from Denmark and dates from the 1970s. Its deep red brown leather upholstery carries some minor scuffs and marks, but that’s part of vintage leather’s appeal in our eyes. With wide, expansive arms, ideal for resting a whisky on, and a separate sprung section underneath the seat cushions, this chair lends itself to indulgent lounging. Lived in, vintage leather is a super choice for the busy, modern family home – it’s robust and easy to keep clean.
Description
This is an original, vintage chair that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. It has been surface cleaned and a natural, nourishing leather balm applied. The two cushions are in excellent order with plump inners and zips in good order. The leather on the cushions shows some signs of wear and has some wrinkles but this is in line with the chair’s age. The fixed leather upholstery on the chair frame is in good – very good order too. Again, there are some scuffs and marks, including some flecks on the back panel but we would describe the wear as minimal and what we would expect with vintage leather. Please refer to our photos to get a good sense of condition. We would describe this as minor wear. The finish cloth underneath the seat cushions is in very good, clean order. The chair is very solid and sturdy with no signs of repair. Sadly the marker’s sticker is no longer affixed but it’s very well-made and a high quality piece. The rose wood base and legs have a few minor scratches and scuffs but otherwise are in good order.
