Vintage Danish 1970’s Stouby Light Leather Bentwood This Chair
Made by reputable Danish furniture maker, Stouby, in the mid seventies, this is a very elegant chair with a flowing, organic form. The light, peachy leather looks superb with the dark, bent ply wooden frame. It’s a comfortable, supportive sit and it’s also in excellent condition, ready for a conservatory perhaps.
There are no marks to note on the wooden frame – it’s immaculate. The original natural tan upholstery shows some signs of wear as you would expect of a piece of this age but the wear is minimal. There is some wrinkling on the seat and there is also some minor discolouration on the head cushion. We have thoroughly cleaned and nourished the leather so it’s soft and supple. The underside of the leather cushions has the trademark Stouby-branded finishing fabric. The chair is solid and stable with no signs of repair. See our photos for an accurate picture of the chair’s condition.
