Vintage British 1960’s Beautility Long Teak Sideboard
British midcentury furniture manfacturer, Beautility, made some very fine pieces back in the day, alongside for mainstream, every-day furniture. This elegant, 1960’s sideboard is a super example of Beautility at its best. With a parred-back design that’s minimalistic and clean, with a clear Scandinavian influence, it also offers lots of practical storage for stowing. With two generous cupboards and wide drawers, it can hide all manner of family ‘stuff’!

Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have given the sideboard a thorough clean, oil and polish. Both doors are in good order and with their closures working as they should. Each cupboard has a fixed shelf. All the three drawers slide with ease and the top drawer is partially divided with a baize-lined section for cutlery. The divider can be removed. The interior wood in all the drawers and cupboards is clean and in good order. The exterior wood is also in very good condition and we can see no signs of repair. The piece is well-made, solid and sturdy. There are a couple of slightly dark patches on the top surface – please refer to our photo. Typically it’s the tops of such sideboards that bear the brunt of the wear and tear but as you can see it’s not particularly noticeable and doesn’t detract from the appeal or appearance greatly. The original ‘Beautility’ label is seen inside the right cupboard door and this model was made in the 1960s. Please refer to our photos for an accurate sense of condition.
