Vintage 1970s Norwegian Westnofa Brown Leather Bentwood Chair

A smart, stylish Norwegian 1970’s bentwood chair, made by Westnofa Furniture and most likely designed by Ingmar Relling. It’s as comfortable as you might expect with the perfect tilt and it is in fantastic condition. These chairs offer an excellent alternative to bulkier, more traditional lounge chairs as the proportions are compact and slim without compromising on comfort. We love the organic flow of these chairs. It looks striking from all sides.

Description

This is an original, vintage chair that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. It has been thoroughly cleaned with a natural beeswax polish and a leather balm applied to the sectioned cushion. The cushion is soft and supple, with all button securely attached and the zips in good order. One of the seat buttons is a little scuffed. There are some wrinkles and minor marks on the leather but these are very minimal and in line with chair’s age. It’s the nature of vintage leather. The finishing canvas under the leather cushion is in good order – it’s strong and shows no areas of weakness or signs of repair. The dark bentwood frame is structurally sound and sturdy. Again, there are some minor scuffs and scratches in line with its age. Overall this chair is in very good condition. The remnants of the original Westnofa maker’s label can be seen on the underside. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of condition.
