Vintage 1970’s Danish Brown Leather Three Seater Sofa
If you’re after a relaxed family couch with lived-in, good looks that can take whatever modern life throws at it and isn’t too precious, then this Danish vintage three seater sofa is for you. In a deep chocolate brown leather and with an unfussy, clean-lined design, inspired by Borge Mogensen, this is a really comfortable sit and will work well with other pieces of different styles and colours. The cushions are plush with soft, supple leather. There are scuffs and marks from its former life, particularly on the cushions, but it’s a stylish, vintage couch that would suit a busy family home, creating the perfect place to collapse and put your feet up.
Description
This authentic, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good-very good, used condition. We have cleaned the leather upholstery and applied leather balm to nourish it. The fixed leather upholstery on the main frame does carry superficial scuffs and marks but nothing specific to call out. The eight leather cushions are in good order with foam in very good condition and zips working too. As you would expect the seat cushions have carried the brunt of the wear and tear, and are wrinkled with use (see our photos) but this is what you would expect from vintage leather and is very much part of its character. The webbing and undercloth is in good order too. All the joints are solid with no movement or creaks, and there have been no visible repairs to the frame. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of its super vintage condition.
