Vintage 1963 Early Studio Pottery Vase by Eric James Mellon
Eric James Mellon was a multi-media artist – painter, printmaker and ceramicist – more commonly producing works that featured figures from myths and folklore. This signed vase is something a little different. There is some lovely mark-making on the surfaces, along with the thoughtful placement of colour – deep blue and earthy browns. It’s certainly rustic, even primitive, but has a great deal of charm.

This original, used pottery vase is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, vintage condition. There is a small chip under the rim of the vase – shown in our photos. The base is signed and dated. Please refer to our photos for a good sense of colour and condition.
