Vintage 1960s Meredew Neat Chest of Drawers

Such a handsome vintage chest of drawers from British maker, Meredew. The design is simple, unfussy and clean-lined with a two-tone, inset, ebony finish at the front. A really well constructed, thoughtfully designed item of practical furniture, far superior in its build to most modern pieces. Its proportions are neat and its legs give it space and refinement.

Description

This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in very good-excellent, used condition. We have cleaned and polished this item. It features three generous drawers made with dovetail joints that all slide with ease. The interior wood is clean and tidy. The exterior wood features some minor scuffs and veneer chips here and there but nothing more than you might expect with a vintage piece of this age and purpose.  The Meredew stamp can be seen on the top inside drawer and dates this piece to the 1960s.
