Vintage 1960s McIntosh Extending Dining Table & Set of Five Matching Chairs

A refined midcentury dining set from AH McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, made in the 1960s and mixing Scandinavian design influence with more traditional British style sensibilities. It comprises of an extending teak dining table and five dining chairs, one of which is a carver. Each piece has been taken great care of as the condition is super, especially considering its years and regular use. McIntosh furniture is synonymous with superior craftsmanship and you can see that here in the patented, extending mechanism in the table through to the wonderful curves on the back legs of the chairs. Acquired from the people who originally purchased this dining set in Scotland back in the 1960s., it’s always rather special when something comes our way that’s stayed with a family for generations.
