Vintage 1960’s Ercol Windsor Model 366 Sideboard Model
This 1960’s, vintage Ercol sideboard in solid elm, with neat proportions and sitting on small tapered legs, is from the Windsor range, Model 366. It’s an infinitely useful item of furniture, providing ample storage space, and would look at home in any room in the house from bathroom to lounge to kitchen. Originally meant for the stylish midcentury dining room, it features two cupboards – one large with double doors and an adjustable shelf, and a smaller one which has a removeable cutlery drawer. At the bottom sits a spacious drawer. Classic Ercol never goes out of fashion.
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in overall very good condition. It has been thoroughly cleaned and polished. It’s an expertly crafted piece of a very high quality construction, featuring Ercol’s signature dovetail joints. All three cupboard doors are in good order with their original closures working. Both cupboards have a height adjustable shelf. The lower drawer moves with ease and the removeable cutlery drawer is in good order with three moveable dividers. There are some minor scuffs and fading to the top surface including a small ink mark towards the back (please refer to our photo) but these are minimal and in line with the wear and tear you might expect with a piece of this age. Sadly the blue Ercol sticker is no longer affixed but it’s a well documented piece with great provenance regardless. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of the overall condition.
