Vintage 1960’s Dressmaker’s Mannequin with Wooden Stand
An original, 1960’s dressmaker’s mannequin, once used for making and fitting clothes with precision. It sits on a tripod wooden stand and the body can be height adjusted on the main stand and further adjustments can be made to the mannequin itself to change its size. There is an area of damage to this piece which we’ve shown in our photos but it’s still functional as a dressmaker’s aide or as a bedroom stand / props for displaying clothing, and it’s most likely that this patch would be hidden under layers.
This vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. As you can see from our photos, there is a stain to one side and the outer fabric is a little threadbare here but it doesn’t affect the function of the piece and would most likely be hidden. You could opt to recover the body in another fabric. The frame is sturdy and well made.
