Vintage 1960s Danish Tall Armchair in Striped Grey Velvet
This elegant, Danish, vintage lounge chair in a soft, plush striped velvet is really comfortable. Its tall, contoured back provides super, lower back support and its expansive arms are perfect for weary limbs. There are minor signs of wear to the upholstery but nothing that takes away from its good looks. It’s a very fine, thoughtful piece of chair design. The colour is a pleasing warm, minky grey, neutral enough to sit alongside any colour scheme. The long tapered teak legs create space around and under the chair, a classic Scandinavian trait.

Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have given the chair a thorough vacuum but have otherwise left the velvet upholstery alone. The legs have had a buff with a natural beeswax polish. As you can see from our photos, the original velvet has some minor marks and indentations to the pile here and there from use but overall it’s in good – very good order. We have called out a particular small patch on seat back. The two buttons are securely fixed in place. The chair frame is structurally sound and solid with no signs of repair. It was imported directly from Denmark and the style and build lead us to believe it most likely dates from the 1960s. Sadly there is no marker’s mark.
