Set of Six British Midcentury Teak Dining Chairs in Original Green Boucle Fabric

If you are looking for an expertly crafted, hard-wearing set of stylish, retro dining chairs then you might have just found them. With handsome, solid teak frames, generous seats and original textured boucle upholstery in great order, these are a catch. We believe them to be made by G Plan, most likely part of their ever-popular Fresco range, but with no maker’s stickers fixed any more, we can’t 100% attribute them, hence the great value price for this set of six. We love that vivid green – it partners so well with the richly toned teak – but it might not be for you. The seat pads can easily and cost-effectively recovered to bring these bang up to date and to match with your own style. Indeed, replacing seat pads can be done by the enthusiastic hobbyist, armed with fabric, foam and a staple gun! Either way, this is a great value set of six British-made, vintage dining chairs with a great deal to offer a lively, sociable home who like sitting around the dining table with friends and family.

Description

This original, vintage set of six chairs is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, they are in very good – excellent, used condition. The solid teak chair frames have been carefully cleaned and a natural beeswax polish applied. They are in outstanding condition with no repairs, nothing to call out and very few signs of wear – just some very light, superficial, age-related marks. The seat pads are covered in the original boucle wool upholstery, a textured weave of greens, jades and deep blues. There are no marks or threadbare areas to report. It’s in very good condition. As you can appreciate from our photos, these chairs are superbly crafted with leads us to believe they were made by G Plan, most likely from their Fresco range, but sadly their red brand sticker isn’t affixed to any of the chairs. Because we cannot 100% attribute them, our price offers excellent value for a set of six, solid teak midcentury dining chairs.
