Description

This original, vintage set of six chairs is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, they are in very good – excellent, used condition. The solid teak chair frames have been carefully cleaned, oiled and polished, restoring them to their former glory. They are in outstanding condition with no repairs, nothing to call out and very few signs of wear – just some very light, superficial, age-related marks. The seat pads are covered in the original wool plaid upholstery, a textured weave of browns and oranges. There are no stains or threadbare areas to report and overall are very good condition. We appreciate the fabric choice might not be for everyone and the seat pads could be easily and cost-effectively recovered either by a professional upholsterer or by a hobbyist. The pads are straightforward to unscrew. As you can appreciate from our photos, these chairs are superbly crafted and although there are no maker’s marks underneath, they were acquired with a matching White & Newton teak dining table so we can attribute them with confidence.
