Set of Four Vintage Tecta 1950’s Wooden Ply Stacking Chairs

If you’re looking for a set of occasional chairs for family gatherings, dinner parties or for garden socialising, then this set of four vintage Tecta stacking chairs are a useful option. They will stack neatly on top of each other for stowing in a shed or garage, ready for when they’re required. The condition of these is a little rough and ready – we’ve not undertaken work ourselves as you may wish to paint or varnish them depending on how much and where they will be used. But these are fine, old 1950’s chairs, well-made and ready for service, so might be a good investment for outside catch-ups this summer.

Description

These original vintage pieces are ‘sold as seen’. They are in rustic, used condition. We have lightly cleaned the chairs but have carried out no further work. They are really well made and are sturdy and solid with no wobbles. However, the the ply is fraying in places and the chairs are marked with use – please refer to our photos. This condition is reflected on our price. If you plan to use these chairs occasionally, they are perfectly useable as they are, although you might want to add a seat cushion for prevent clothes snagging. If you plan to use them with more regularity then we would suggest a light sand to soften / remove any raw and rough edges, and then hard-wearing varnish. They are cracking vintage chairs that would benefit from a little TLC to keep them in use for many more years to come.  The Tecta maker’s stamp can be seen underneath each of the chairs. Please browse our photos for an accurate picture of the condition of these chairs.
