This set is in great condition and has been given a light restoration, preserving the original finish where possible to show off the natural patina of aging, whilst ensuring they are fit for the rigours of a modern home. Made from a combination of beech and British elm blond woods, they are designed for comfort and good looks in equal measure. Mix and match with other Ercol chairs around your dining table for a contemporary vintage look.
Description
These are original, vintage chairs that are ‘sold as seen’. They are in overall good – very good, used condition. They have been given a light restoration – they have been thoroughly cleaned and any areas of wear to the original finish has been rubbed down and refinished. The chairs have then been waxed and polished. They are superbly crafted in solid elm and beech and there are no wobbles, joint concerns or signs of repair. There are a some scuffs and marks as you would expect with used, vintage chairs of their age. These areas are visible in our photos. Although they no longer have the blue Ercol labels affixed on the chair backs, they do have Ercol’s British Standard Kite Mark quality stamped into the wood under the base of each chair, along with seat pad poppers if you wished to add these. Please browse of photos for an accurate sense of their fantastic order.
