Set of Five Vintage M.O.D Loaf Baking Tins

We find it hard to resist quirky and unusual items like this… vintage baker’s loaf tins, once used by the Ministry of Defence (we weren’t aware of their baking division!) that come with history, an unusual narrative and a little rust, that deserve a new lease of life. How could these be put to good use? Their long length but shallow width make them excellent storage containers for the bathroom, kitchen or play room, perhaps up on a shelf. But our favourite idea would be to use them as planters, either indoors or outside. They’d look grand with hanging houseplants trailing over the side or with herbs or sedums sprouting out the top.
