Restored Vintage Grey Metallic Double Spotlight Floor Lamp
It’s the dark, metallic charcoal grey of these spotlights that sets this floor lamp apart. It’s just so very handsome. Double, elongated, trumpet spotlights are mounted on long chrome stems which can be rotated to get the angles right as well as height-adjusted in the main stem. Hailing from Denmark, this most likely dates from the early 1970s. It does come with some of life’s scuffs and knocks but nevertheless this is a very good looking retro lamp that would fit easily into any room in the modern home.
Description
This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new, black fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, a new floor switch with independent switches there for each lamp and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be angled by rotating them on their original arm. They can also be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening these arms. As you can see from our photos, the spotlights do carry minor surface scratches, tarnishes and small dents, as does the weighted base, although we don’t feel it impacts the appeal of the piece too greatly. It hails from Denmark, dating from the early seventies.
