Restored Vintage Danish Hemi Klot 1 Single White Bubble Floor Lamp

This is a Hemi Klot #1 floor lamp, characterised by its swivelling bubble shade and its retro, space-age good looks. It’s a really quirky light, subtly eccentric without showing off, that will draw many compliments. It’s designed to be positioned over the back of a reading chair. The bubble spotlight can be height-adjusted on the main stem and you can swivel the shade around too to throw light where it’s most needed. It’s been carefully restored, rewired and PAT tested, ready for the modern home.

Description

This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new, black and white fabric-braided flex, an energy efficient bulb, floor switch, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. As you can see from our photos, the metalwork carries tarnishes and scratches, particularly the weighted base, as you might expect with a vintage piece but these are minor and don’t in any way detract from the appeal of the piece. Indeed, they are part of its history and charm. The Hemi Klot maker’s mark is engraved on the spotlight arm (shown in our  photos). It hails from Denmark and dates from the early seventies.
