Restored Vintage Danish Double Brown Spotlight Floor Lamp
A genuine, vintage, Danish floor lamp, on a chrome stem with double spotlights in a glossy chestnut brown enamel finish. We like very much the more compact, trumpet-like lamp heads here, making it a rather more discreet piece, perfect for a corner or behind a favourite chair. Now carefully restored with independent switches for each lamp, it’s ready for the next 50 years of illuminating a home. The spotlights can be height adjusted on the main stem and posed with their original arms fittings.
Description
This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new, black fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, a new independent switches and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be angled by simply rotating them on their arms, and they can be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening this arm. As you can see from our photos, the metalwork carries minor tarnishes and scratches, particularly the weighted base, as you might expect with a vintage piece but these are minor and don’t in any way detract from the appeal of the piece. Indeed, they are part of its history and charm. Sadly there is no maker’s mark but this is a lamp acquired from Denmark, dating from the late sixties / early seventies.
