Restored Danish 1970s Brown & Gold Double Spotlight Floor Lamp
This is an unusual and particularly good-looking floor lamp, hailing from Denmark and dating from the seventies. It features double trumpet spotlights that have a brushed gold body and a deep brown face. These can be angled on their arms to get the positioning just right, and they can also be height-adjusted on the stem. These vintage lamps offer a practical, discreet lighting option to brighten any room as they can slot behind chairs, sofas or alongside other furniture pieces without taking up space. Fully restored with new wiring and independent foot switches, it’s ready for the modern home or office.
Description
This vintage, restored floor light is ‘sold as seen’. The overall condition of this piece is very good. The spotlights are height-adjustable on the main stem, and the position of the spotlights can be rotated and angled with the original black plastic arms. The stem has a gold upper finish and brown lower stem and matching base, which is weighted for stability. As you can see from our photos, there are some minor dents and knocks, along with some tarnishing to the finish on the lamp heads, the stem and the base. It is an authentic, vintage piece however, so to be expected and we don’t feel it detracts greatly from the appeal of the piece. The light has been fully rewired with new braided, black fabric-coated flex and independent switches. It has been PAT-tested and updated for the modern UK home with a single UK 3 amp plug and supplied with bright, energy efficient LED spotlight bulbs.
