Restored 1970s Danish TS Belysning Double Brown Spotlight Floor Lamp
A genuine, vintage, Danish floor lamp, on a chrome stem with double ‘trumpet’ spotlights in a glossy chestnut brown enamel finish. Now carefully restored with independent switches for each lamp, it’s ready for the next 50 years of illuminating a home. The spotlights can be height adjusted on the main stem and posed with their original arms fittings. Hailing from Denmark and produced by TS Belysning who made fine quality lighting, this most likely dates from the early 1970s and comes with considerable provenance and style. It does come with minor scuffs and scratches too but nevertheless this is a very good looking retro lamp that would fit easily into any room in the modern home.
Description
This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new, black fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, independent switches there for each lamp and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be angled by rotating them on their original arm. They can also be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening these arms. The arms and original fittings are in very good working order. As you can see from our photos, the spotlights carry minor scratches, tarnishes and small dents to the finish, and that goes for brushed silver weighted base. We also don’t feel this impacts the appeal of the piece too greatly. The wear and tear is in line with its age and what we would expect. The TS Belysning mark can be found on the base.
