Rare Vintage Swedish Ateljé Lyktan ‘Bumling’ Wall Lamp by Anders Pehrson

An outstanding ‘Bumling’ wall-mounted spotlight, designed in the 1960s by Anders Pehrson for ateljé Lyktan. Sitting on a chrome silver poseable stem, this wide wall lamp is ideal for a bedside, a hallway or a spot that would benefit from some interest and illumination. Its design is handsome and clean, unmistakably Scandinavian, and we believe this particular model to be a rare find, most likely an early model, with a chrome mount plate. A midcentury collectable that we’d love to keep!

Description

This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good – excellent, used condition. We have carefully cleaned and PAT tested this lamp to ensure it meets modern regulations. The white spotlight is in very good order. There are some very small and minor chips to the white enamel paint, and a very small dent on the side but as you can appreciate from our photos, these are barely noticeable and certainly don’t detract from the piece. The chrome silver stem is poseable, and the wall mount plate and switch are in excellent order. It screws into position with two screws (not supplied). The flex is plugged into a regular mains socket and it comes fitted with a plug. The original maker’s label can be seen into the spotlight rim. Please refer to our photos for a sense of the excellent condition.
