Pair of Vintage Ercol Goldsmith Model 369A Carver Dining Chairs
Ercol’s appeal endures as is the way with classic design and quality craftsmanship, and this pair of Goldsmith carver chairs, dating from the 1960s, really showcases this. These chairs are fine-looking pieces made from solid British elm and beech ‘blond’ woods with tall, spindled backs and generous seat height and width, providing much comfort for long, slow dinner parties. That said, Ercol’s carver chairs make excellent desk seats and occasional chairs, perhaps in a bedroom or hallway. These chairs are in their original factory finish which is in great, used condition, we have cleaned and waxed them to show off the beauty of the wood.
Description
These are original, vintage pieces that are ‘sold as seen’. They are in overall good – very good, used condition. They retain their original finish with only a few signs of wear. They have been thoroughly cleaned and then waxed, but otherwise the original finish has been left well alone. The chairs are solid and sturdy with no wobbles or joint concerns, but there are minor scuffs and marks as you would expect with used, vintage chairs, primarily on the arms and the tops – please browse our photos for a good sense of this light wear and tear. The original Ercol sticker is still affixed to the back of the each chair, dating them to the 1960s/70s.
