Original Danish Stouby Brown Leather Three Seat Sofa
What a cracking, leather family couch this is. Made by renowned Danish furniture brand, Stouby, it’s handsome, clean-cut design, with striking wooden slatted ends, is matched with superb comfort. It’s a wonderfully lazy sofa, perfect for stretching out on. It’s in great condition with only minor signs of wear and tear that add to its loungey good looks. This sofa has a fantastic silhouette from all sides and has much to offer the busy home for the next 20 years or more. It will mix and match with furniture from different periods too so a great choice for a mixed, modern interior. And leather is a really practical choice for the family as it’s super hard-wearing and easy cleaned.
Description
This original sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. The leather upholstery and visible wooden frame have been given a good surface clean. The original tan brown leather upholstery is in very good order on the cushions. There are eight cushions in total with working zips and plump cushion inners. There are minor signs of wear and tear, and some small scuffs and wrinkling, primarily on the seat cushions and edges as they bear the brunt of use, but this is entirely as you would expect with used leather and is part of its nature. There is one specific area to call out, an area where the leather has worn on the piped edge of the right hand end cushion. It’s shown in our photos and overall is not very noticeable. The fixed leather on the sofa frame is in very good order, as is the branded finishing fabric underneath the cushions. The sofa is superbly constructed, solid and sturdy with no wobbles or creaks. There are some minor superficial scratches and scuffs on the four wooden legs. Although midcentury-style in design, we believe it most likely dates from the late 1980s / early 1990s.
