Original Danish Nielaus & Jeki Mobler Black Leather Curvy Two Seater Sofa
We’ve rather fallen for the charms of this unusual, scalloped love-seat. Made by Danish maker, Nielaus & Jeki Mobler, it dates from the late 1970s / early 1980s and is very cleverly crafted, mixing curves with straight lines to great effect. The two seats envelop you in the most comforting way, rather like sitting in a hug. It’s the ideal indulgent couch for one or two. The black leather carries some wrinkles and minor scuffs but don’t we all? A fine, vintage piece from Denmark with bags of quirky appeal.

Description
This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in very good, used condition. We have given both the leather and the wooden frame a clean. A natural beeswax polish has been applied to the wood. The original leather upholstery is in very good order overall with working zips, plump inners and secure stitching (the tucks on around the back are stitched, not buttons). There are wrinkles, scuffs and some light fading to the leather, primarily seen on the seat cushion tops, but this is very much part of vintage leather’s charm – it does carry marks. The finishing canvas on the backs of the cushions and also underneath the seat cushions carries some light marks (rest assured, there is no odour and it’s nothing unsavoury!) and as you can see from our photos there are two repairs to this canvas. Although we’ve not done these repairs ourselves, they are well done in matching fabric and are unlikely to deteriorate. And of course, they don’t show as they are hidden underneath the cushions. The light wood frame has a few minor scuffs and scrapes here and there but nothing specific to flag. It’s a really well made, cleverly designed piece, mixing curves and straight lines.
