Original Danish Large Two Seater Sofa in Oatmeal Wool
Whilst this particular sofa might not be vintage, it’s a fantastic second-hand find in outstanding condition, matching comfort and a quality build with smart, good looks. It’s a Danish original and most likely dates from the past 15 – 20 years, given the outstanding condition. With a fixed back, there are no cushions to reposition or plump there, and the seat cushions are reversible too, practical if you get a spill… you can flip it! It’s a fantastic family couch, larger than your average two seater but more compact than a three seater. The oatmeal tweed wool upholstery is mixed weave of pale brown and beige tones, neutral enough to partner well with other schemes, be that contrasting or matching. Although modern, its design is very obviously midcentury-inspired with clean-lines and a classic Scandinavian profile.

Description
This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in excellent, used condition. Other than give this sofa a thorough check and vacuum, we’ve left is well alone because it’s in near-flawless order. There are two seat cushions with are double-sided, handy as it one side gets marked you can flip it. The cushions have working zips, plump inner foams and immaculate upholstery. Likewise, the fixed upholstery on the sofa frame is in outstanding order with no real signs of wear, apart from a very faint mark on the back corner of one side – we’ve shown this in a photo. It’s almost imperceptible. There are some very minor superficial scuffs to the legs but otherwise they are in equally good order. The frame itself is solid and stable with no wobbles or joint concerns. It’s very well-made and we believe it dates from the 1990s or perhaps later still, such is its condition. Although no maker’s mark, this sofa was imported directly from Denmark. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of the super condition of this fine sofa.
