Original Danish Hurup Mobler Black Leather Two Seater Sofa
This handsome, vintage attributed Danish sofa is a great catch. It’s in fantastic condition and has been beautifully designed with low and lean good looks. Made by Hurup Mobler, this sofa design, inspired by Borge Morgensen, never goes out of style. It’s a timeless classic and this sofa will partner well with other midcentury pieces or indeed, seating from different periods. It’s also a really versatile couch for a family space where black leather is a hardwearing, practical choice. Its low profile means it would fit neatly in a bay window or alcove.
This original, vintage Danish sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It is in excellent, used condition, mostly likely dating from the late 1970s / early 1980s. We have lightly cleaned the leather upholstery but have otherwise left well alone, such is its excellent order. The original black leather upholstery is of exceptional quality as you would expect to find from any Hurup piece. The cushions are plump with inners in excellent order and working zips. There is a small scuff on the back top of the sofa but this isn’t visible – please see our photo. The dark wood legs are solid and stable, as is the rest of the frame. We can see no visible repairs to the frame or upholstery. It’s in excellent overall shape and has the original maker’s mark affixed to the side of the piece (photographed). Please refer to our various photos for an accurate sense of the condition of this item.
